THE DIVINE WAZEEFAH
Formula for being closest to the Prophet on the Day of Judgement

Durood Shareef-Salutation

Almighty Allaah says: "Surely Allaah andHis Angels send blessings on the Holy Prophet
صلى الله عليه وسلم
O you who believe! Send Blessings (Durood) and Salutations (Salaams) on the Prophet with worthy Salutation".
(Soorah al-Ahzab: 56)
In this verse of the Holy Quraan,Almighty Allaah, His Malaa'ikaah and the Muslims have been mentioned as sending Durood upon  Rasool al laah صلى الله عليه وسلم

So,
Durood Shareef is actually
"A Du'a in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad
صلى الله عليه وسلم

Hazrat Anas [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]narrates that Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
said:
"He who reads a single Durood upon me, Almighty Allaah blesses him ten times, ten of his sin sare forgiven, and he is increased ten times in stages (internally).
(Mishkaat-Shareef)

Abdullah ibn Ma'sood [Radiyal Laahu Anhu]also narratesthat Prophetصلىالله عليه وسلم
said:
"On the Day of Qiyamah, the closest to me from among the people will be those who have read the most amount of Durood Shareef".
It is now evident that the recitation of Durood Shareef (Salawaat) is in perfect obedience to the Divine Command and in complete conformity with the teachings of Holy Prophet
 صلى الله عليه وسلم
of Islaam.

Hazrat Rabiyaa Basri
[Radiyal Laahu Anhu]
Quote
"A person can never become perfect until he does not give preference to religion over his personal desires."

CORE VALUES OF ISLAM-LOVING THE AHLE E BAIET

There are some core values of Islaam that we need to imbed

in our belief- through the lessons we learn from
'Yaum e Ashura'-[Aashooraa]-
The 10th of Muharram…the day of Ashura.
Iraq

The love for Ahle Baiet [The family of Prophet Muhammad] [Peace be upon Him] is necessary. To have that one must read about each character individually.
I was born in a Muslim household and married into another Muslim household but I didn't truly appreciate and understood and began to practice- till I read about these characters.

When we read about Ashura day, each character( may Allaah's blessings be upon them) shows their beliefs and character's strength, which is so admirable.
The lessons we learn from the story are crucial to our belief. For example, we must stand by what we believe is true; we must not doubt in Almighty Allaah's mercy and must stand our ground in front of the bullies oppressors.

In the Ashura story (which never fails to make me cry) Yazeed is the bully/ tyrant as you must have inferred already.

How Allaah Kareem loves His Last Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] shows us the characteristics to be loved.

Notice what is dear to your Lord [Allaah Almighty].
Humility, kindness, empathy, benevolence and so on.

The speech by Hazrat Zaienab [Radiyal Laahu Anha]  who is the beloved brave, sister of Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] made in front of Yazeed. Her Historical speech shows her fearlessness in front of a tyrant to speak the truth. Those who follow the right way Allaah Kareem help them and those who follow the satanic way Shaietan leaves them in a lurch...humiliated and disgraced.

The other vice that gets highlighted is arrogance (seen in Yazeed's character) we must avoid being arrogant. It is Allaah Kareem who gives respect or humiliation to anyone in all situations.
We also see how Allaah Kareem dislikes arrogant people.

So my fellow Muslims, be familiar with the story of Ashura as it is the story of great hardship that our Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa  Sallam's] family went through and became an example for all the Muslims to keep faith [Ieemaan] in every situation as it can't be worse than that.
May Almighty Allaah bless all readers with true love for the Ahle Baiet and for the greatest person who ever lived, Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam].Aameen.

We should also refresh our love and faith remembering the famous Hadees about his beloved grandson.
‘Husaien is from me and I am from Husaien.’

Which means that the Prophet and Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] are extremely close to each other as if they are one. The remembrance of Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] is the remembrance of the Prophet, the friendship of Hazrat Imaam Husaien is the friendship of Rasoolal Laah and the enmity of  Hazrat Imaam Husaien is the animosity of the Prophet.

In one more tradition Hazrat Abu Hurairah [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] narrated that Rasoolal Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said about Imaam Hasan and Imaam Husaien,
‘Whosoever loves these two loves me and whosoever has enmity with them does so with me.’

SADIA AJMAL-Reporting from London on Ashura day Message-1st Oct-2017

 DAY OF ASHURA-Aashooraa

The root word for Aashooraa is Ashr meaning ten. There are a few reasons why this day is called Aashooraa.
This is the tenth day of Muharram thus called Aashooraa.

Apart from marking the beginning of Islaamic hijri year, Muharram also has a special place for the muslim believers. It is called the “Month of Allaah” (Shahru-llaah) and is one of the four sacred (haram) months in Islaam. The 10th day of this month is called Ash-Shura and was a celebrated day in the Jew and Christian communities during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet itself ordered muslims to fast on that day as well as the day before to honour the day. It is believed that the day is the day when Allah saved Prophet Moses from the Pharaoh.
Ten days are given superiority and this is the tenth day.
On this day, Allaah Amighty blessed ten Prophets with His chosen bounties.

There are several prominent incidents which took place on the day of Aashooraa which have made their place in the glorious Islaamic history.

Hazrat Ieesaa [Jesus] [Alaiehis Salaam’s] was born.

Hazrat Ieesa [Jesus] [Alaiehis Salaam’s] was raised to the skies.

Rasoolal Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wassalam] was married to Ummul Mu’mineen Hazrat Khadijaa  tul Kubra
[Radiyal Laahu Anhu]

It was also during the month of Muharram that history had recorded the Martyrdom events of Karbalaa regarding Hazrat Imaam Husaien
[Radiyal Laahu Anhu]
Which had breathed new life into the spirit of Islaam regarding the values of Faith Ieemaan.

The Day of Judgement will take place.

Aashooraa

During the Days of Ignorance
When Rasoolal Laah
[Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wassalam]
saw the Jews fasting on the day of Aashooraa, he enquired as to the reason for it and they replied that this was the day when as Prophet [Moses] Moosa [Alaiehis Salaam] was victorious over Firaun, [Pharaoh] who drowned along with his followers. So out of respect and as mark of celebration, we fast on this day.
Worship on the Night Before Aashooraa
Hazrat Alee
[Radiyal Laahu Anhu]
narrates that
 Rasoolal Laah
Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wasalam]
said,
‘Whosoever revives the night before Aashooraa with his worship, Allaah will make him live as long as He wishes.’

Muslims the world over, in their remembrance of the Ahle-Baiet and
Hazrat Imaam Husaien
[Radi Allaahu anhum ajma'in),
engage themselves in feeding the poor in their memory as a mark of respect. On this occasion, it is imperative to reflect as to what aspect of the great Imaam's life we Muslims are emulating to improve ourselves spiritually.

It is the love of the Ahle-Baiet and the Sahaba-e-Kiraam
[Ridwan ul laah ta'ala ajma'in]
that should produce the driving force in emulating closely in our lives the Sunnat of Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wasalam]
This alone in these times would not only provide the guiding light spiritually, but also be a source of great Barakaah and reward in this world and the Hereafter.

It is also of great Sawaab to have gathering Qur’aan Khwaani and Fatehaa in honoring and remembrance of the Ahle Baiet, [The Household of the Prophet]

Compassion Towards an Orphan
The Prophet also said...
‘Whosoever loves an orphan and attends to his needs..   Allaah  Kareem will raise the status of that person in Jannah.

Fasting in Muharram

There are various ways to worship Allaah Almighty and each one brings us closer to the Mercy of Allaah Ta’aalaa and becomes a means of our sins being forgiven. Fasting on the day of Aashooraa is also one such kind of worship.
The Virtue of observing more Naafil fasts during Muharram.

It is very rewarding to fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharram.
“Whoever fasts `Ashooraa’ it is as if he has fasted the entire year. And whoever gives charity this day it is like the charity of an entire year.”

Good Deeds on Aashooraa

Just as the reward for good deeds are awarded abundantly on this day, the Aazaab [punishment] for your sins committed on this day will be greater.

The following are some of the desirable acts one should do on the day of Aashoorah

1. To observe fast on this day.
2. To give as much charity as you can afford.
3. To perform Nafl Salat prayers.
4. To recite Quraan
