CORE VALUES OF ISLAM-LOVING THE AHLE E BAIET-MUHARRAM MESSAGE

CORE VALUES OF ISLAM-LOVING THE AHLE E BAIET

There are some core values of Islaam that we need to embed

in our belief- through the lessons we learn from
'Yaum e Ashura'-[Aashooraa]-
The 10th of Muharram…the day of Ashura.
Iraq

The love for Ahle Baiet [The family of Prophet Muhammad] [Peace be upon Him] is necessary. To have that one must read about each character individually.
I was born in a Muslim household and married into another Muslim household but I didn't truly appreciate and understood and began to practice- till I read about these characters.

When we read about Ashura day, each character( may Allaah's blessings be upon them) shows their beliefs and character's strength, which is so admirable.
The lessons we learn from the story are crucial to our belief. For example, we must stand by what we believe is true; we must not doubt in Almighty Allaah's mercy and must stand our ground in front of the bullies oppressors.

In the Ashura story (which never fails to make me cry) Yazeed is the bully/ tyrant as you must have inferred already.

How Allaah Kareem loves His Last Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] shows us the characteristics to be loved.

Notice what is dear to your Lord [Allaah Almighty].
Humility, kindness, empathy, benevolence and so on.

The speech by Hazrat Zaienab [Radiyal Laahu Anha]  who is the beloved brave, sister of Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] made in front of Yazeed. Her Historical speech shows her fearlessness in front of a tyrant to speak the truth. Those who follow the right way Allaah Kareem help them and those who follow the satanic way Shaietan leaves them in a lurch...humiliated and disgraced.

The other vice that gets highlighted is arrogance (seen in Yazeed's character) we must avoid being arrogant. It is Allaah Kareem who gives respect or humiliation to anyone in all situations.
We also see how Allaah Kareem dislikes arrogant people.

So my fellow Muslims, be familiar with the story of Ashura as it is the story of great hardship that our Prophet [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa  Sallam's] family went through and became an example for all the Muslims to keep faith [Ieemaan] in every situation as it can't be worse than that.
May Almighty Allaah bless all readers with true love for the Ahle Baiet and for the greatest person who ever lived, Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam].Aameen.

We should also refresh our love and faith remembering the famous Hadees about his beloved grandson.
‘Husaien is from me and I am from Husaien.’

Which means that the Prophet and Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] are extremely close to each other as if they are one. The remembrance of Hazrat Imaam Husaien [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] is the remembrance of the Prophet, the friendship of Hazrat Imaam Husaien is the friendship of Rasoolal Laah and the enmity of  Hazrat Imaam Husaien is the animosity of the Prophet.

In one more tradition Hazrat Abu Hurairah [Radiyal Laahu Anhu] narrated that Rasoolal Laah [Sallal Laahu Alaieh Wa Sallam] said about Imaam Hasan and Imaam Husaien,
‘Whosoever loves these two loves me and whosoever has enmity with them does so with me.’
